Ladon.jpg The lone child of Gaia’s third birth, Ladon roosts beyond the northern edge of the world, beyond the Dark Forest of Chaos. Interested only in growing its wealth and power, once the battle of the Cosomachy began it abandoned its brothers and sisters to their fate to secure its own holdings. Atop a mountain with no top, Ladon makes his solitude atop a hoard of gems and bones. With a terrible form of scales and leather, horns and fangs, four legs and great wings, a serpentine neck and powerful tail. The parent of dragons, Ladon combined the mightiest features of its children.

With none like it in the world, Ladon laid a clutch of eggs, five colored as gems and five seemingly made of metal. From each, twins hatched, one male and one female. These children made citadels for themselves on the smaller peaks and realms around the Infinite Mountain, the dragons send their servants south to capture slaves and expand their wealth. Under the tyranny of the dragon kings, these terrible creatures serve themselves and the law they pass down.

Those rare few dragon worshipers in Calopius hide their actions, but keep secret stashes of scaled leather to bind themselves, and betray themselves with fascinations in metals and gems. Excellent merchants and politicians, the dragon-cults hide among high society and make sacrifices in burning red flames.
