Considered the inspiration of all divine ritual save the sacrifice, Polyhymnia has guided all priesthoods in establishing their traditions, symbols, and standards. It is said that the greatest hymn of praise, the Omnidoxology, was written by her own hand. All those loyal to the gods who raise up poems and songs of praise and adoration use her language and structure. By her decree, the standard meter of sacred poems is iambic pentameter, the rhythm most appreciated by the gods. She is just and pure, and unwavering pursuer of what is holy and right. Even those gods who differ from her alignment respect her convictions. She is often shown side by side with Vikae, holding aloft her Aspergillum and a scroll of divine praises.
