Father of the Gods and the Titan who struck the blow that began the Cosmomachy, Grandfather Time is the isolated watcher of the passage of time. Once known as Chronos, the Titan was not content to let chaos reign forever, and so gathered his children and what titans agreed with him, and struck out to bind their mother, Gaia. Ultimately, they were successful, though aside the Cyclops who assist Purosphuros, he is the last titan, as his wife and brother were killed in the battle. Now he watches the tapestry of fate, tending the loose threads with his scythe and recording the totality of time. Few priests of the Great Watcher walk the earth, and only Periandropolis has a temple maintained for him.. Roadside shrines bear his symbol, but sacrifices are few to the god who decrees all mortals must be delivered to the halls of Thantadeus. What priests of his do exist are a secretive group, appearing at crucial moments as prophets and guides. Though they wear no holy symbol, their black cloth and scythes betray their allegiance. To deny the prophecy of a priest of the Scythebearer is to invite tragedy, a lesson all adventurers would do well to learn.
